Diversity Policy Statement
The APPC and AIP recognise the need for having plenary, invited and contributed speakers as well as session chairs that represent the diversity of background encompasses by our membership. To that end, we will publish the statistics of delegates at this conference and work towards better equality and diversity practice for the future. The statistics will not provide personal information, and will seek to provide a transparent breakdown of gender, qualification and nationality.
The APPC and AIP wish to provide quality and diversity in Physics at the 2016 Meeting, which will take into consideration the range of majority and minority groups in our community and will strive to achieve balance amongst these groups.
This statement has been drafted in consultation with the Australian Institute of Physics Women-in-Physics Committee. The conference organisers welcome feedback from APPC and AIP members on this policy and how it might be improved for future conferences to better ensure quality and diversity.
Registration fees do not include personal travel insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that a travel insurance policy be taken out to cover loss, cancellation, medical cover etc for any reason when registering for the Congress and booking travel. The Congress Committee and Congress Secretariat do not take responsibility for any delegate failing to insure.
Your official meeting name badge must be worn at all times, as it is your entry to all sessions, the exhibition hall and social functions. Security staff will be asked to refuse entry to anyone not wearing their name badge.
